I have two OOPS!!
First, I would like to say OOPS!!! I forgot to mention that someone donated a cart and harness to the non-profit!!! We can’t use it yet because we don’t have a horse trained to pull a cart. Then, we will have to add to our insurance to cover that horse pulling a cart, as that is more expensive than the regular insurance we have covering the horses when we visit others. So please consider donating to us.
The cart comes apart for easy storage.
The second OOPS is that I’m a little late getting our September 2024 newsletter. I’ve had a lot going on. If you would like to volunteer your time (as no one gets paid at this time) and help out with some behind-the-scenes things, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us and let us know what you can do to help us grow.
Sad News
The person who contacted us to invite us to the schools this year was saddened to learn that we cannot currently take a horse onto the property. Since that happened, we have focused our 2024 Fundraiser on raising funds for our operating expenses.
September Outings
If you look at our Calendar, you will see that we are closed frequently during September 2024. Some of it is due to personal obligations. I have some family obligations, and since I have some health issues, I have to take time to rest and recover between events.
The second week of September, Meeting Individuals Needing Inspiration Therapeutic Horses has three events scheduled.
September 10th: We will be back at Richland Place at 1 pm.
September 13th: We are returning to NHC Cool Springs for a visit at 1 pm.
September 14th: We will return to the Achilles Hope and Possibility Race in Nashville. For more information, please go to their website.
On September 25th, we are teaming up with the Alzheimer’s Pitstop in Murfreesboro, TN again. When I have more information, I will update this post. You may also follow the Alzheimer’s Facebook Page to stay informed about their excellent organization.
Volunteer Training
We have two training days this month.
Sunday, September 8th, at 4 p.m., and Saturday, September 28th, at 4 p.m. Please RSVP to let me know you are coming.
Yearly Fundraiser
We DESPERATELY need help with planning our 2024 Fundraiser in Murfreesboro, TN. Please reach out if you can volunteer a few hours a week for the next few weeks and help us have a super successful event.
